Hello Grammar Hero, I am new to this video here, I am just watching it today. I noticed you have done some “Product & Sum” Charts. However, I am confused, for example #2. You put 12 for the product & -8 for the Sum. So the middle number of the equation goes under sum and the end number of equation goes under Product? It’s hard to explain but I hope you can understand this. ❤

I just realized when reading its directly asking for a number of "equal" units. So when you multiply 6 and 5 to get 30, you say oh... 30 is the only possible combination of sets for those 2, so the answer HAS to be multiplying all 3 together. Basically that thinking took like 3 seconds to register and i got D right away

Find the common demenour betwee 9 and 36 which is 36. 4*4/9*4= X/36 Remove 36 16=X

9x = 4 * 4 * 9 x = 4 * 4 x = 16

You can do this in two simple steps simple how many times does 4 go ingot 9 equals 2.25. so you know know the shadow is 2.25 times bigger than the object so see how many times 2.25 goes into 36, and its 16!!!

instead try this>> 36 divided by 9 =4...then 4x4=16...tree is 16ft tall....lol

Why did my brain go 4 goes into 9 twice plus some, and 36 divided by 2 is 18, so the answer is 16 cause that's half of 36 minus some

How to know if it’s a proportion?

Or... Set up the ratio or proportion as shown with vertical distance over horizontal distance. Find the equivalent fraction of 4/9 = x/36 or 4 x ? = x and 9 x ? = 36 Multiply both by 4, so the numerator 4 x4 = 16 as the unknown numerator.

Doesn't matter. They still can't qualify for a home unless it's a 2 story tent.

Both tests are timed, so looking for shorter ways to solve is better. One way is to look at the answers first. In this case, you can brute force the answer quickly, like this, 32+34=66 not correct, 33+35=68 correct.
